- Each new teacher to Shane receives 2 weeks paid training for Young Learners and ongoing observation, accompanied by initial and ongoing consultation with Academic Manager and Senior Teacher.
Every teacher is provided with In-house designed teacher’s books and manuals, CDs, supplies and props for games. You are joined in class by a well-trained bilingual teacher’s assistant. Our multimedia-capable classrooms are modern with small student numbers.
- We reimburse a teacher’s flight expenses getting to China , up to 4200rmb, fully pay health insurance once you’re here, and provide an end of contract bonus, making it easy to get here, get home, and have a healthy life while you’re here.
We pay for every hour worked, even in regular monthly class schedules. Some schools claim that they pay for X amount of hours for a 4-week month, and never take into account that there are extra days in each month over this 4-week total. Over the course of a year those extra days add up to 30 unpaid days. We pay totals of monthly hours over 72 every quarter as a bonus for our teachers, because we believe that if you work hard for us, the very least we can do is pay you for your time.
- We don’t impose living conditions on our teachers such as forced roommates, curfews, filthy or cramped apartments, isolated neighborhoods outside of the city center, etc. With ample guidance from our Welfare Officers, we give teachers their choice of apartments.
